Avila Foods is a UK based company that provides African-Caribbean food products online. Their main goal is to provide superior level of service and most competitive prices.
They came to Gproxy Design for their NetSuite eCommerce website design. They required a fully customized website design, with some advanced eCommerce functionalities that hour team of professional programmers could solve out.
Challenges and Gproxy Design's Solutions
The most relevant request for this project was to transform NetSuite's default navigation and create a new layout based on clients ideas. Basically, we used some competitors' sites as inspiration (Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda, among others) and tried to adapt their eCommerce practices to the NetSuite platform:
- Take left nav away from Home page
- Unusual top navigation
- Footer integrated to the content area
- Visual mini cart
- Registration through Zip Code check
- Invite a Friend Functionality shown an all pages
- Create inner scroll
The most difficult aspect of this project was to integrate the Booking Delivery Slot Functionality (created by third party) into NetSuite. Many challenges appeared during the implementation, but the most important one was to make the booking selection to last a certain amount of time in the cart, creating warning pop ups for the client to now when the booking option was about to expire.
The Final Result
The final result of this project is a 100% customized eCommerce website, implemented in the NetSuite platform, that counts with many eCommerce functionalities that NetSuite doesn't have out of the box, and that only our professional team of SuiteScript Experts could make come true.
